Your paper. Our time. A fresh start.
Paper Hour
You don’t have to sort it alone.
The bills. The tax papers. The holiday cards you can’t quite let go of. Let’s sit together, by video, and make our way through—one piece at a time.
No judgment. Just you, me, and your paper.
A simple way to begin
No preparation. Huge relief.
01. Show me your pile.
Take a picture of the papers you’d like to work through. No tidying first. A pile, a box, a drawer—it all counts.
02. Tell me your story.
Share a little about your situation, what you’re dealing with, and what you hope will feel different.
03. We sit. We sort.
Choose 1, 2, or 3 hours in one day. We meet by video and work through your paper, together, at your pace.

A calm presence on the other side of the screen
Hi, I’m Tamar.
I’ll sit with you.
As a downsizing specialist and Columbia University–trained nurse practitioner, I know that our belongings carry more than their weight in paper.
A birthday card can hold a person. An old file can trigger difficult memories. And an overflowing pile can make it hard to know where to begin.
Paper Hour is a space to slow down, make decisions, and find a little breathing room. You bring the paper. I bring a compassionate ear and a practical way forward.

Let’s make a little room
Your pile.
Your Paper Hour.
You don’t need to have a plan. Just a picture, a few words about where you are, and a little time we can set aside together.
Choose 1–3 hours together in one day.
Pay by Venmo, Zelle, or Credit Card.
One pile or many. Practical or sentimental.
We’ll start where you are.
Before we sit down
A few things you may be wondering.
What kind of paper can I bring?
Bills, statements, tax documents, receipts, old files, letters, holiday cards, children’s artwork—anything in your paper piles. Practical papers and sentimental ones are equally welcome.
Do I need to organize anything before we meet?
No. Bring your piles as they are. The photo helps me understand where we’re starting; it is not a test of how organized you are.
How much time should I choose?
Choose the amount of time you would like to set aside: 1 hour ($100), 2 hours ($200), or 3 hours ($300). All the hours take place in one day. We work at your pace rather than promising a certain number of papers.
How do I pay?
By Venmo (@Tamar-Prager), Zelle, or credit card. Once I confirm your day, I’ll send payment details — for card, a secure Stripe link by email or text. No payment is taken on this page.
Is this tax or financial advice?
Paper Hour is support with sorting and organizing paper, not tax, legal, or financial advice. For decisions about document retention or your financial obligations, consult your qualified professional.
